\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\nTwo years ago my fellow LW friend Ashwini Kumar Bhat decided to make a documentary on one of the last pristine river systems in India, Aghanashini .\u00a0 Our documentary will be a unique documentation of the amazing wonders this river hosts, as told by the river herself! \r\n\u00a0 \r\nUncovering her story revealed to us many surprises. Some so spectacularly rare, that knowing about them let alone catching sight of them, was in itself an impossibility. \r\n\r\n4th in the series of Unseen Landscapes by Landscape Wizards - this is the story of Firey Landscapes or Chir Batti ( Ghost Lights ).\r\n\r\nThe team went in search of the mysterious ghost lights in the 3000sq km area of the Banni grassland in Kutch region of Gujrat around the now silent volcanic mountain - Kiro. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIn Dec 2014 Shiva and Harsha from Team LW went on a amazing Unseen Landscapes adventure to photograph the caves of Meghalaya in North Eastern region of the Indian Sub-continent.\u00a0 Cave Photography is still in its infancy in India and this is probably the only professional work \u00a0done on photographing the hidden subterranean worlds in India. And that\u2019s what we did, daring into the inky darkness looking for something that fairy tales are made of. It was our maiden expedition into the rain soaked forests of the western ghats looking for the fabled\u00a0\"Luminous Landscapes\" \r\n \r\nBioluminescence (BL) is big in these forests and there is no shortage of organisms exhibiting this wonderful\u00a0phenomenon. Most of us have seen BL through Fireflies and Glow worms, but the phenomenon is not limited to\u00a0insects alone. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\nA\u00a0Photo Expedition \u00a0to shoot one of the most beautiful and seldom witnessed natural wonders \u00a0! \r\n \r\nA Time Lapse image showing the meteors striking through the clear winter sky of BRT \r\nA dream which has been constantly with me for the last 4 years was one of making an image of a meteor shower at night. Images of this sort are hard to come-by and I have seen very few landscape images depicting a meteor shower in its full glory. With no such images from the Indian Subcontinent I knew it would not be easy making my image. I spent countless hours planning my shots and working out the correct technique, but most of these ended in failures.
