I eventually learned about time lapse photography and was instantly hooked.<\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>What inspires Ross Ching to into making Timelapse photography ? How different is shooting for Time lapse compared to normal still photography?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What inspires me is nature, science and the curiosity of humanity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>How different is shooting for Timelapse compared to normal still\u00a0photography <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bungalowkeuze.nl\/%ec%b4%88%eb%a9%b4%ec%97%90-%ec%82%ac%eb%9e%91%ed%95%a9%eb%8b%88%eb%8b%a4-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">\ucd08\uba74\uc5d0 \uc0ac\ub791\ud569\ub2c8\ub2e4 \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Timelapse is very similar to landscape still photography, but very different from all other forms of still photography. \u00a0With other forms of photography, you have to worry about lighting and actors and placement of objects. \u00a0With timelapse, you let the scene run its course.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>Your Eclectic series is a real delight to any Time lapse fan with brilliant visual compositions <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/seducaorevelada.com.br\/site\/?p=77556\">\uc740\ud61c \uc544\ub2c8\uba74 \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>. Can you tell us story behind the series and how long you took to create it?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/3551875\"><iframe center;\"><strong>Eclectic3.0 : The Roads Less Travelled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My thinking behind the series was that I wasn&#8217;t going to simply make the same thing more than once. \u00a0So you&#8217;ll notice that in 2.0 I incorporated motion and in 3.0 \u00a0I included tilt-shift. \u00a0The goal was to make something truly unique, and at the time, I was the only one making things like it. \u00a0Each video took me at few days, but 2.0 took longer since i travelled to different parts of the world to capture it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>Any particular bit of Timelapse which is very close to your heart probably because the way you did it or the incident etc  <a class=\"ed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.levesque.uqam.ca\/?p=5407\">cinema 4d r16<\/a>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Running On Empty<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I&#8217;m really proud of Running on Empty mostly because it let me push the envelope with the technique. \u00a0It really let me tell a story with timelapse, and for that it&#8217;s my favorite piece.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>Time Lapse shooting is not easy and requires a lot of patience, what is the longest you had to sit up while shooting a Timelapse?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I try and keep my shots relatively short, so in Eclectic, I never had a shot longer than 2 hours <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pd1-001.com\/sublime-text-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">sublime text \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>. \u00a0But for other projects that were unrelated, I&#8217;ve had shots that last for up to 14 days!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>What are the things that goes into planning before you hit the road for making a Timelapse ?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My number 1 planning tool is Google Maps. \u00a0It lets me scout all the locations before I drive out to the spots. \u00a0Some locations are so remote that it&#8217;d be unreasonable for me to go all the way over there to check if the shot will work or not. \u00a0This way, I can see a map, a satellite view, a terrain map, and sometimes a street view <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cromaton.it\/%eb%84%a5%ec%84%9c%ec%8a%a4-5-%ec%9c%a0%ec%8b%ac-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">\ub125\uc11c\uc2a4 5 \uc720\uc2ec \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>What according to you is the most important tool a photographer must have before attempting a Time lapse?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A intervalometer&#8230;.something that will automate the taking of the pictures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>Time lapse is all about science and mathematics &#8211; Any pointers on how to choose ideal frame rate, shooting time, based on what we want to achieve eventually ?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Trial and error is the best technique. \u00a0Use your best judgement and think about how fast your subject will be moving <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.perfectum.cnm.com.pt\/?p=11065\">winxp \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>. \u00a0If it&#8217;s the stars, give it more time between exposures than if you were to shoot clouds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>Post processing is as important as shooting the image sequence in Time lapse, what sort of workflow and tools do you use for processing a Time Lapse?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I shoot RAW and turn my image sequences into MOV prores files in After Effects, then I take it all into Final Cut, edit it, and do final color correcting with Magic Bullet Colorista 2.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>Do you have any particular sequence that you would want to make a Timelapse of, but still haven&#8217;t tried as yet  <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mohumo.at\/wp\/%ec%b9%b4%ed%86%a1-%ed%85%8c%eb%a7%88-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">\uce74\ud1a1 \ud14c\ub9c8 justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>With a lot of regular Videos under your belt what do you see yourself doing more in the future, Timelapses or justify;\">I think I&#8217;ve explored as deep as I need to go with timelapse. \u00a0Everyone knows I can make a time lapse movie. \u00a0Now I think my goal is to show people I can make a narrative movie. \u00a0Even then, however, my timelapse experience helps me make better narrative movies <a class=\"ed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.baracskft.hu\/2020\/02\/10\/%ea%b5%ac%ea%b8%80-%eb%a7%88%ec%bc%93-%eb%8b%a4%ec%9a%b4%eb%a1%9c%eb%93%9c\/\">\uad6c\uae00 \ub9c8\ucf13 \ub2e4\uc6b4\ub85c\ub4dc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>You had recently been to\u00a0Ecuador\u00a0on a shoot, anything that you can share regarding the work and the info about Timelapses that you did there in particular ?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ecuador was an intense shoot. \u00a0We were in the Amazon jungle for a week where it was hot and humid with mosquitoes then the 2nd week we were at 9000 feet. \u00a0The speed in which I had to set up some of these time lapses was crazy because of our hectic schedule. \u00a0The extreme environments definitely took a toll on my equipment. \u00a0I had a camera fail because of the high humidity and I had to come up with improvisations to make other shots work with a different camera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #1a4e91;\"><strong>If you had to give 3 important tips for anyone who wants to get into Timelapse photography, what would they be?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Take a look at what everyone else is doing, but think about how you can take what they&#8217;re doing and make it unique to yourself<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Figure out what you&#8217;re good at and become better at that one thing. \u00a0Don&#8217;t try to wear multiple hats.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Use the internet to your advantage, it&#8217;ll teach you everything
